West Philly Elementaries
Weather Stations

In partnership with the Fairmount Water Works Interpretive Center and the School District of Philadelphia, I collaborated with students from West Philadelphia Elementary School to design outdoor sculptures that incorporate their work and a weather monitoring unit.

The project involved 6th-grade science classes, where students created designs and then worked together to build components for the final sculpture. I fabricated the structure and installed it on the school campus. A weather monitoring station is placed on top of the sculpture, providing data for classes to support their environmental science curriculum.

These pictures below are from Anderson Elementary. Penn Alexander Elementary and others to follow!
